Level One: (8 sessions) - Designed for the individual who don't know how to use a domestic sewing machine, cannot straight stitch, and has no knowledge of window treatments or soft furnishing but is a "do it yourself" type of individual.
At the end of eight weeks you will develop the skill & confidence to:
- Use a straight stitch machine.
- Understanding Basic Measuring techniques for windows and beds & be able to accurately measure for any size window and bed.
- Fabricate a Basic Rod Pocket Panel - Lined and Unlined, and always be able to get it to fall the standard half (1/2”) off the floor.
- Fabricate a Flat Sheet for any size bed.
- Fabricate a Fitted Sheet for any size bed.
- Fabricate a range of simple Valances.
- Fabricate a range of simple Rod Pocket Swag.
Pre-requisite - Must have access to a domestic sewing machine.
